Microfeather Brows

A metal hand tool with fine needles is used to create fine hair-like strokes. A hypo-allergenic pigment is implanted into the skin and will generally last from 6 to 18 months. Results will vary depending on the client’s exposure to sun and resistance to pigment.
Anaesthetic is continually applied to decrease any pain or discomfort during the procedure. Depending on the depth of colour requested, most people are comfortable in public within 2 – 5 days. days.
Combination Brows ( feather + shading )

A fantastic compromise between hair stroke and powder fill effects to achieve a beautifully natural, yet defined brow. The inner brow gets a feather stroke eyebrow tattoo in Australia that includes hair strokes while the tails are powdered to achieve the perfect definition. Hair strokes are also added around the outer line of the arch to soften the powdered tails. If you want the ultimate and most popular brow style, then the “Combination Brow” will suit you.
FAQs

How long does feather stroke tattooing last?
Microbladed eyebrows last 1 to 2 years for most people, before it usually needs a touch up. For permanent eyeliner, it lasts 2 to 4 years.. Can vary depending on skin type, exposure to sun and reaction.

Does it hurt?
Most clients report little or no pain! We use a topical anesthetic before the procedure to numb the affected area.

How long does the procedure take?
It usually takes 1.5 hours, with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing eyebrow shapes. The microblading portion lasts 30-40 minutes

How long does it take to heal?
After the Feather touch tattoo there will be no redness or swelling to the area, however the eyeliner will have a subtle swelling (in some cases this is only very minor). We don’t recommend having a cosmetic tattoo procedure prior to an event / special occasion where the area might make you feel a little self-conscious. As the area heals, the pigment will deepen in colour before fading away and this can last anywhere from 3 – 10 days. It is also very normal for your brows to peel a little.

Should I wax my eyebrows before getting them feathered?
Prior to the procedure we tweeze the eyebrows area clean. If you get your eyebrows waxed make sure it is done 2-3 days prior to your appointment. However, please ensure you leave the hairs which are close to your eyebrow shape. The more hairs we have to work amongst, the more natural looking the result will be.

What is the aftercare?
We recommend a ‘Dry Heal’. This means the area treated cannot be exposed to any water, oils, rich moisturisers or heavy makeup in the T-zone for 7 days. Some clients book a professional blow dry to avoid watering the brows in the shower. If the skin type is excessively dry you can use a minimal amount of bepanthen across the brow after the 4th night.

When should I get a touch up?

When would I need to get another touch up?
It all depends on how well your skin absorbs the ink, and/or fades. This is determined by a number of factors which comes into play such as exposure to sun, laser, certain medications, skin type etc. We can advise if another touch up is needed but eyebrows would have to be assessed. For clients who have oily skin or participate in activities that involve swimming in chlorine water or constant exposure to the sun, a touch up every six months would be advised.

Can I get permanent makeup if I have juvaderm injections/fillers?
We recommend getting permanent makeup first, or ask your Juvederm specialist for clearance.

Can I bring friends or children to my appointment?
Unfortunately, our salon isn’t child friendly and due to Occupational Health & Safety, only the tattooist and client can be in the room during the procedure.

How do you take care of feathered eyebrows?
Once the process is complete, keep your eyebrows dry for 10 days. Avoid makeup products and leave the area alone. Any scabs that form should be allowed to drop off naturally.
